Umbrellas were used to ensure social distancing as dozens of customers queued to enter a reopening liquor store in Tamil Nadu, southern India.

Customers were told to bring umbrellas with them as a tool to ensure social distancing was adhered to in Palani.

Liquor stores in Tamil Nadu were reopened after being closed for a month due to COVID-19 regulations.

This footage was filmed on June 15.

Liquor shops in Tamil Nadu was shut down as a part of lockdown restrictions laid by the Government.

Government now have relaxations in the lock down and allowed the liquor shops to re - open.

Dindugal District Administration laid a new set of regulations for the tipplers. Umbrellas were earlier used to guard people from rain and sun earlier but now it's used as a tool to follow social distancing. The Dindugal District Administration said it's district tipplers to bring an umbrella if they want liquor bottles when the liquor shops were opened after a long one month shut down.


And the obedient tipplers brought umbrella and followed the social distancing to buy liquors
