A computer operator in New Delhi has set nine Guinness World Records including typing the alphabet while blindfolded.
Vinod Kumar Chaudhary has set several world records involving typing on a keyboard.
Typing the alphabet while blindfolded in the fastest time (6.71 seconds) and typing a sentence with his nose in the fastest time (46.3 seconds) are just a couple of the records he holds.
The computer operator also set a record for the maximum amount of tennis ball touches by hand in a minute - he managed 205.
Vinod Kumar Chaudhary, a computer operator at Jawaharlal Nehru University's (JNU) School of Environmental Sciences, has set nine Guinness World Records with his unique talent in northern India's Delhi. The event took place in Nangloi.
Visuals shot on June 26 feature Vinod being fascinated by speed and enthusiastic about sports since he was a child. He then displays his passion for speed on the computer and types numerous characters in the shortest amount of time, astonishing the viewers. He further exhibits his exceptional skills by typing with a blindfold on, with his nose, with a mouth stick, and the walls of his computer center show the proof of his talent as it is adorned with his eight records in typing and one in sports.
Even though Vinod Kumar Chaudhary has a master's degree in Sociology and spends his days punching numbers in JNU, his unique abilities speak louder than words. He had set his latest record during last year's lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Vinod made his first record in 2014 when he typed 103 characters in 46.30 seconds with his nose, and this was the shortest time he took to do that kind of typing. Once he got his certificate for the record, it gave him motivation, and he began to practice his skill set to make more records.
Then in 2016, he made his second record for fastest typing of all alphabets blindfolded in 6.71 seconds, followed by another record for fastest typing in 6.09 seconds.
In 2017, he made another record of typing all alphabets within 18.65 seconds, holding a stick in his mouth. He further broke his record in 2018 by achieving the same act in 17.69 seconds and then in 2019 with 17.01 seconds.
In 2019, Vinod made another entry in the Guinness book for fastest typing with one finger, where he punched all the alphabets in just 29.53 seconds. But this wasn't enough for him because he aimed to make around 19 entries into the book, a record held by veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. So, he kept looking for new ideas and trained himself until he became perfect.
Vinod Kumar further wishes to run a full-fledged computer institute to provide free training to the poor and specially-abled children. For now, he runs his classes at home for needy kids and plans to expand his center to function without having any financial limitations.
Moreover, Vinod's last record is for maximum touching of the hand by a tennis ball in less than a minute. He could do it 205 times, even when his target was 180. However, most of his records, except the one typing with a mouth stick, have been broken by people, but nothing stops him from pursuing his dreams of making new records in the future.
