An aluminium alloy factory exploded after being submerged by floodwater in central China.

The dramatic video, filmed in the city of Dengfeng in Henan Province on July 20, shows massive flames and a plume of smoke rising into the air as a Dengfeng Group Aluminum Alloy Co. Ltd factory exploded.

Another clip shows a huge fire engulfing a building and firefighters trying to extinguish the blaze.

According to reports, the water level of Ying River near the factory increased and exceeded the alert level causing the factory wall to collapse.

The floodwater then ran into the factory, mixing with high-temperature chemicals, causing the blast.

All people were evacuated safely and no casualties were reported.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
