A plume of black smoke was seen rising up from the chemical factory.

According to a government official, the Jiangyang Chemical Factory exploded. The fire has been put out and no casualties were reported.

Officials were deployed to deal with the incident.

11月21日下午5时25分许，山西太原尖草坪区一家化工厂发生了爆炸，爆炸时附近房屋受到冲击，有居民家窗户玻璃被震碎，屋内受损严重一片狼藉。另有现场视频显示，一座厂房上空冒出滚滚浓烟，形如蘑菇云一般。有居民透露，附近有人员被震碎的玻璃划伤。
另据一位居住在11层的市民刘先生透露，他家小区距离化工厂大约有1公里的距离，从他所拍摄的爆炸后的屋内视频显示，楼层所住的三户居民家里都收到了不同程度的损毁，两个电梯也被震坏。
11月21日晚上10点多，当地政府一名工作人员介绍，是江阳化工厂发生爆炸，目前已派人去现场处理，大火已被扑灭，还没有收到人员伤亡情况。
