Heavy rainfall and intensified weather conditions wreaked havoc on the lives of locals in western India's Maharashtra on July 22. The incident took place in Kalyan East in the Thane district.

Visuals feature the residential area getting flooded due to incessant rains, following which water enters several houses. After a while, the residents throw out water from their house into the alley as the downpour leads to waterlogging in the street while the locals wade their way through the knee-deep water to get their work done.

Several localities got inundated after heavy rainfalls triggered flash floods in Mumbai. The sudden cloudburst caught the locals off guard and triggered extensive damage to properties. However, relief measures were underway, and people have been advised to stay indoors.
