A recently born dwarf calf in South India is so tiny it cannot reach its mother's udders to feed without being lifted up by its kindly owners.

The incredibly cute calf is less than a foot (30cm) tall and also has problems walking properly.

Despite these difficulties, neither the momma cow nor the animals' owners give up, showering the baby bovine with affection and kindness.

Its owners make sure to regularly bottle feed it, as well as lifting it up so it can reach its mother's milk.

The video was filmed on 19 August in Kattumannarkoil, Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu.
