This is the moment Tropical Storm Henri caused flash flooding in a residential area in New Jersey on Sunday evening.

Footage shows roads in Hoboken City inundated with water, almost submerging parked vehicles in the area.

Henri made landfall in the town of Westerly in Rhode Island on Sunday, devastating much of Northeast U.S.

At least 74,000 residents, many of whom lived in coastal towns, were affected by power outages in Rhode Island. In Tennessee, the storm has killed no less than 22 people, including young children and elderly citizens, while dozens are still missing.

Struggling U.S. President Joe Biden said emergency declarations have been approved for Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York.

He said: ‘I’m committed to do everything we can to support their communities through the storm and afterwards.’
