Dramatic footage of a confrontation between a cat and a leopard that fell into a well together was caught on camera. This incident happened in Kankori village under Sinnar taluka in Nashik, a city in western Maharashtra, as the leopard was attempting to chase the cat.

Villagers heard the leopard's roars coming out of the well in early Sunday morning and informed the forest department.It was later rescued and released in its natural habitat. Both were rescued safely from the 25 to 30 feet deep well with the help of a crane on late Sunday evening by the forest department.

In the video, the cat and the leopard sat facing each other. The next moment, the leopard walked up to the cat, while the latter was seen balancing itself on two feet and putting up a brave face against the leopard, and getting ready to fight. The intense battle between the leopard and cat continued for a couple of seconds. However, the leopard didn't harm the cat. It was later released in its natural habitat. The dramatic video of the nail-biting face-off soon went viral on social media.
