Bus slips amidst overflowing river in central India

In a terrifying occurrence, a passenger bus, carrying around 12 to 15 people, slipped and stuck amidst a river while crossing it, in central India's Madhya Pradesh on September 10. The bus which was going from Bhatpachalana to Ratlam stuck amidst the overflowing Kudail river in Shivpur village.

Visuals feature the slanted bus stuck amidst the overflowing river. Villagers gather at the scene and shriek in horror while trying to save them. The river continues to overflow while they make evacuation efforts.

Incessant rains the night before, made it overtly dangerous for any vehicle to cross the area. Amidst such situation, when the bus tried to cross it, a wheel of it sled and stuck in the water flow.

The passengers were terrified for their safety, however, on hearing screams, the villagers came to their rescue. Each one of them was safely pulled out.

Meanwhile, the local police officials rushed to the spot and dropped the passengers to their respective destinations.
