A member of staff at a weather station was spotted climbing up on a 7-metre-high monitor pole to clear ice and snow in southern China.

The video was filmed on November 22 in Huangshan mountain, a famous sightseeing spot for the natural landscape.

According to the staff, named Lv Tao: "The wind blew onto my face like a knife. It is also not easy to climb up the pole, but in order to ensure the accuracy of the monitoring data, we have to climb up in time to remove the snow."

The temperature was -6 degrees Celsius at the time of filming.

Lv added: "I'm not afraid of falling off. I just hope that each record of date is legit and accurate.”

The video was provided by local media with permission.
