This is the moment a kind passerby rescued newborn puppies abandoned inside a bag.

Patrick Pasicolan and his wife were on their way home when they passed by the litter crying inside an eco-bag in Cavite City, Philippines on November 5.

They checked inside and found four crying puppies. The couple took the dogs out as they appeared to be suffocating and brought them home with them.

Pasicolan said: "We could not just leave them there. This is the first time we will take care of dogs. We took them home and adopted them, it could be a sign of good luck because we recently moved to a new house."
