This 43-year-old Chinese handicraftsman paints intricately inside a 4.5-millimetre bottle in northern China.

Filmed in Hengshui, Hebei Province, the video showed the various Chinese snuff bottle paintings by Song Yunfei: Beijing Opera masks, Monkey King, landscape, dragon, dog, rooster and panda.

He has been painting inside snuff bottles for 26 years. He draws intricate figures, animals and landscapes using a special thin pen.

Depending on how difficult each piece is, the time it takes to create the paintings varies from a few hours to several months.

As an intangible cultural heritage of China, the art of Chinese snuff bottles has been inherited from the Qing Dynasty for more than 200 years.

The clips since 2018 were provided by local media with permission.
