Ladakh in northern India concluded its first Ice and Snow-Sculpture Workshop on Friday February 11 in Sangtakchan near Tsogsti village.

Video shows a massive leopard carved out of ice, standing on an ice pedestal surrounded by a wall made of ice bricks.

Later, VIP guests arrive at the workshop location to conclude the event.

The workshop, organised by the Kangding Snow and Ice Sculpture Association and the Ladakh Police, was so successful that Union Minister Jitendra Singh decided it would be introduced as a winter season tourist attraction, creating job opportunities for locals.
