A combined coastguard and ambulance service operation rescued a walker with a medical emergency on a coastal path in Cornwall, UK, as another weather warning is issued.

The man was rescued from the South West coastal path, above cliffs next to Fistral beach in Newquay.

He got into difficulties some distance from the nearest road and had to be transported on a wheeled stretcher to an ambulance and then hospital.

South-western England and large parts of the UK have seen new Amber weather warnings, after being battered by several storms already. The most extreme of which, Storm Eunice, killed several people on Friday 18 February.

A new depression coming in from the Atlantic has brought 70mph (113 km/h) winds.
