Around 100 people gathered in Wrexham, N. E. Wales at midday today, to show their support and solidarity for the country of Ukraine and its populace.
Following Russia's invasion of that country on 24th Feburay 2022 Ukraine has experienced massive assaults from air, sea and land forces, with the Ukrainian army bravely holding its ground and inflicting losses on advancing Russian troops. Cities across Ukraine along with military and civilian targets have been constantly hit by missile strikes, causing many to flee to the borders of Poland and Moldova.
Speeches were heard in Wrexham's Queens Square in the centre of the town, from Ukrainians living in Wrexham, along with others who have relatives and family still inside the invaded country.
