Catholic bishop holds vigil for Ukraine on steps of church in Wrexham

Around 80 parishioners of a Wrexham Church, held a vigil for Ukraine and its people, late afternoon on February 27th on the outskirts of the town.

Worshippers of The Cathedral Church Of Our Lady Of Sorrows, Wrexham, gathered in a biting wind outside the church to listen as the Bishop of Wrexham, The Most Reverend Peter Brignall, spoke of the solidarity of Wrexham's people with those living with the current war in Ukraine and his hopes for and end to hostilities and a lasting peace in the region.

The vigil lasted for thirty minutes and was interspersed with prayers and short sermons.
