This is the heartwarming moment a kind biker helped a disabled man cross a busy road during heavy rain in the Philippines.

The Good Samaritan hopped off his bike upon seeing the drenched pedestrian having difficulty walking across the road amidst the tropical storm in Sorsogon province on April 24.

He then motioned for cars to stop as the person with disability plodded on the wet asphalt, shakily leaning on his walking stick for balance. Despite the harsh rain, he made it safely to the other side thanks to the motorcyclist's help.

Onlooker Ricky Enovejas said: 'I took shelter at a waiting shed when I saw the PWD trying to cross the road. I was going to help him, but I couldn't risk my things being soaked by the rain.

'It's a good thing the passing fish vendor also saw the man and assisted him.'

The Philippines and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand are reaching the start of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which last until late November.

Soaring temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius are often followed by powerful tropical storms with thunder, lightning, rain and flash floods which cause rivers to flow faster and become dangerous.
