Fuel prices in the UK are continuing to rise, with diesel having reached a new record high of 183.9p per litre as of 15 May 2022.

Current prices mean it costs around £90 to fill a 55-litre family car with petrol, and £97 for diesel.
And news forecourt rates are creeping up couldn't come at a worse time. Yesterday (Monday, May 16) the Governor of the Bank of England warned of "apocalyptic" cost of living rises, adding further pressures to beleaguered British households.

The rises are being blamed on the continuing situation in Ukraine, with sanctions and bans on Russian oil leading to a squeeze on supplies.
