This loving grandmother takes care of an abandoned calf like her own child.

Farmer Thongsri Kaewkam, 75, 'adopted' the five-month-old animal named Patiharne after finding it neglected by its own mother in the field behind her house in Chaiyaphum province, Thailand.

The woman has since taken care of the baby buffalo, bathing it and feeding it with bread, noodles, bananas, and grass. The clingy calf would often follow her around the house, nudging its head against her to show its affection.

Pampered Patiharne sometimes even sleeps beside Thongsri at night. She wraps it with a cozy blanket and surround it with soft pillows.

Thongsri said: 'I've been raising buffalo for 20 years, but Patiharne is the first one that could live with people like this. Many villagers are familiar with it and also love it.'

The buffalo farmed added that people have asked to buy Patiharne, but she refused as she has already grown attached to the animal.
