'Monday, May 23 (2022) was anything but an ordinary day for the people of Kuwait as the country got hit by a sandstorm.

Filmed by Shae’kylyne Lusong, this awe-inducing timelapse footage shows the sky going orange in a distressing fashion following the arrival of clouds of sand.

"At 2:30 pm in the afternoon, I set up my phone in front of my work window and recorded this timelapse," the filmer told us. "I knew that the sandstorm was coming because it had already hit the area my husband works in."

To no one's surprise, the weather inconvenience in question caused a disruption in flights.
