A group of civilians were rescued after being caught in a landslide in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on Friday 27 May 27.

The incident happened on the Old Mughal Road in Poonch, not far from the line of control that represents the de facto border between India and Pakistan.

A total of six vehicles and their vehicles were stranded in the landslide.

An SOS call from the trapped passengers was sent to local police, who dispatched a rescue team along with police personnel.

Video footage shows the rescue team clearing the debris using shovels.

A total of 10 civilians, including a woman and child, were rescued.

They were given something to keep them warm, and a meal.
