Wildlife Filmmaker Beau Eastman was about to take a step outside to join his parents for a sunset drink, when he noticed a slithery friend was nearly stepped on by his foot.
Luckily Beau didn't step on the beautiful Coastal Carpet Python and pretty sure it was glad too. Beau didn't want the snake feel threatened in any way so by staying still and moving slowly the python was able to move on into the garden. Snakes will only bite in defense when being attacked and this video shows if we show no harm towards any snake they will be calm too.

The Coastal Carpet Python is the most common snake species in Queensland, Australia. It is also a known species to be found in people's gardens and even inside their homes.

This isn't a first time the Eastman family have come across a large python and never called a snake catcher to remove them. Instead of getting rid of the them they let the snakes use their gardens as a home which can be beneficial for the family as the python helps keeps the rodents out of the house. Its one of natures best pest controllers.
