Buses stuck in traffic chaos as record rainfall hits South Korea
Buses were stuck in traffic chaos as South Korea was hit with record rainfall causing severe floods on Monday.
Footage shows queues of vehicles caught in long queues at an intersection in the neighbourhood of Sadang-dong in Seoul on August 8.
Some 16 inches of rain had fallen in parts of Seoul on Monday - reportedly the highest since rainfall records in the country began.
Authorities said at least eight people have died in the catastrophic floods in the capital city. The Interior and Safety Ministry said 14 others were injured while six more were missing.
South Korean president Yoon Suk-yeol has ordered the evacuation of residents from high-risk areas as the Korean Meteorological Agency expects heavy rains to continue battering Seoul and neighbouring areas until Wednesday.
