Footage shows a swollen, rubbish-filled river gushing under a bridge in North Jeolla province, South Korea following days of heavy rain on July 15.

The torrents had swept away an entire house and pushed it against the bridge.

Floods also hit a residential area in the province, submerging roads in inches of water.

Authorities said at least 26 people have died, dozens missing and thousands evacuated from their homes as torrential rains triggered landslides and flash floods across South Korea.

Scientists have linked the extreme weather to climate change.
