Horror as teenage boy seriously injured in hit and run in Hollywood near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, UK

These heartwrenching scenes come after 16-year-old boy was found with serious injuries following a hit and run with a vehicle in Hollywood, Worcestershire, near Bromsgrove, UK.

West Mercia Police officers closed Hollywood Lane at around 9.30pm yesterday (Saturday 17 September) following reports that someone had been struck by a vehicle.

The road remained closed for around six hours whilst a specialist collision investigation officer examined the scene, placing several evidence markers next to items of clothing whist using a 3D scanner to capture the scene.

A police officer picked up a blue NFL jacket to place inside an evidence bag.

Allayah Page, a witness, told of the horrifying incident on 'The only way is Wythall, Hollywood & Earlswood' Facebook page:

"I was with a young lad 16 [sic] he was ran over and then backed over with intention unfortunately… very sad xx"

A Spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "On arrival at the scene officers discovered a 16-year-old boy serious injuries following a collision. The vehicle involved had left the scene.

"The teenage was then taken to hospital for further treatment.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage, and may be able to identify the vehicle involved, is asked to report it online quoting incident number 660i of 17 September, 2022.

"Alternatively, you can speak 100% anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
