This clever local in Thailand devised a unique way to cross flooded streets, using a pair of stools attached to strings.

Footage shows resident Chansiri Mitsanjon treading across the deluge in Samut Prakan province with a couple of blue and green plastic seats on September 11.

He steps on one of the stools, balancing himself before pulling the other chair in front of him using some rope. He repeats this several times to create a temporary walkway without his feet being drenched.

Chansiri is later seen returning home using the same method - this time carrying several bottles of booze.

He said: 'I really wanted to go outside to buy beer so I used whatever I had at home to walk on.'
