A policeman rescued a child who got swept away by floods in northern India's Uttar Pradesh on October 11.

Deputy Inspector Gurusen Singh was already at the scene of the incident when he spotted the boy in the river. Without thinking twice, he decided to jump into the water to save him.

Visuals show the officer and three residents rescuing the child with the help of a rope that villagers threw into the water, and people standing on the shore pulling the cord.

The footage was filmed near Utraula police station area in Balrampur district.

Visuals showed the policeman along with three other locals rescuing the child who got swept away in the flood. They were seen taking the help of a rope that was thrown by a few villagers in the river for the rescue mission.

According to reports, Deputy Inspector Gurusen Singh who was present at the incident spot when the boy got swept away, caught sight of the child flowing in the river. Without waiting for a second, he jumped into the water to save him.

People around threw a rope in the river to save the child. Meanwhile, some more people jumped into the river for rescue in which one of them caught the rope and took it to the policeman. After this, the people standing on the shore started pulling the rope and due to the promptness of the inspector, the child's life was saved.
