Police arrested suspected members of a Chinese gang making adult videos with local women in Thailand's 'sin city' Pattaya on Sunday.

Cops raided a condominium in the city's Bang Lamung district and caught six people filming and broadcasting live sex acts to viewers in China.

The suspects, five men and one woman, were identified as Thai nationals Chiraphat Chantanakhet, 29, Sirawut Kruthayan, 24, Sittisak Kochasongkram, 24, Peerapol Damrisu, 22, Warinda Khamuan, 35, and Nonthana Thaemsuk, 20.

They used an impressive rig of smartphones to broadcast across multiple membership sites simultaneously.

Officers also confiscated more than 50 sex toys, lubricating gels, jelly viagra pills, lighting sets, phone stands, used and unused condoms, and 12 mobile phones used to live stream the action.

Police Major General Manad Sriwongsa, commander of the Immigration Police Division 3, said: 'We have been tracking this group for a long time before making the arrests.

'They have opened a website for people to watch both gay and straight sex shows. They stream to customers who pay a daily, monthly, or yearly subscription fee.'

He added that around 30 actors are believed to be involved in filming the live shows, which earn them 1,500 THB (around 43 USD) THB per clip. They receive around 3,000 to 4,000 (86 to 115 USD) per day working six-hour shifts.

The six nabbed suspects claimed they were employed by a Chinese businessman whose identity they did not know.

Manad said they will be charged for digitally distributing obscene content under Thailand's Computer Crime Act, which carries a maximum jail term of five years. A manhunt has been launched for the porn gang's mastermind.

Thai officials have started cracking down on gangs from China that illegally use 'ghost companies' to take advantage of the country's disjointed legal system while operating drugs and sex trafficking rings.
