This is the hilarious moment a monitor lizard fled a house in a panic after being spotted by the homeowner in Malaysia.

The beast had entered Syed Qosimi Al-Khered's home and surprised him when it appeared out of nowhere while he was fidgeting with his phone on July 12 in Selangor, Malaysia.

It was hid behind a curtain before crawling out, much to Al-Khered's shock.

The disoriented lizard then scurried across the floor in a rush, seemingly getting lost while the house's inhabitants screamed and laughed.

It managed to escape through an open door and into a garden.

Al-Khered said: 'I don't have any idea how the lizard managed to get inside the house. He was really funny and looked so anxious.'
