Three people were injured when a Tesla crashed into an oncoming car in the Cross-Harbour tunnel in Hong Kong.

The Tesla vehicle lost control after it hit a curb on the tunnel wall, sending it into the opposite lane early morning on January 12.

It smashed head-on into a private vehicle, which was rear-ended by a taxi that failed to brake on time.

Local media reported that the Tesla driver surnamed Hui, the private car driver surnamed Chow, and an unnamed passenger, 37, were sent to the hospital for minor injuries.

Investigations into the accident in the former British trading outpost are ongoing.
