Firefighters tackled a huge fire that broke out at a bus terminal in the Philippines on February 9.

Footage shows the local fire department hosing down large tongues of flame tearing through the Araneta Center Bus Terminal in transport hub Cubao in Metro Manila.

Clouds of black smoke enveloped the terminal and surrounding areas as firefighters battled to put out the fire.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said it began at 4.30 pm local time and has been raised to a "Task Force Bravo" alarm, meaning at least 19 firetrucks have been dispatched to bring it under control.

There have been no initial reports of injuries or casualties.
