NDRF rescue personnel reached Varanasi after successful operation "Operation Dost" from Turkey: grand reception

All the rescue workers of NDRF Varanasi returned safely to their Corps Headquarters, Chauka ghat Varanasi, after completing the successful rescue work under “Operation Dost” in the horrific earthquake disaster that occurred in Turkey-Syria on 06-02-23. Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met all the rescue teams after coming back from Turkey in Delhi and praised the relief and rescue operation done abroad to save human lives.

On this occasion, all rescuers were welcomed by NDRF officers, fellow rescuers and school children, members of social organizations “Swagatam Kashi Foundation”, “Bharat Vikas Parishad” and “Ganga Sewa Nidhi” by garlanding them with flowers and applying sandalwood tilak.

Commandant Mr. Manoj Kumar Sharma said that 51 rescue personnel from 11 NDRF Varanasi under the leadership of Deputy Commandant Mr. Abhishek Kumar Rai and under the supervision of Deputy Commandant Mr. Ram Bhawan Singh Yadav on 08-02-23 with all modern relief rescue equipment and search operation Specially trained dogs (dogs) Bob and Roxy were dispatched from Indian Air Force's special aircraft Globe Master for relief work under "Operation Dost". As exhorted by the Hon'ble Prime Minister, NDRF to strengthen its identity as the best relief and rescue team in the world. Every person's life is valuable for NDRF and in future also our teams are ready for rescue operations in any part of the world including India. I wish all the team members a very bright future ahead.
