A father crashed his motorcycle into a shop when his daughter fiddled with the throttle.

The man was sitting on the vehicle with his little girl standing next to him as they waited for their relative who was buying dinner at the market in Quezon City, the Philippines on February 12.

But as he watched locals milling around, the girl reached over to the handlebars of the blue scooter for something to hold onto and accidentally propelled the two-wheeler forwards.

CCTV footage shows the blue motorcycle suddenly accelerating into the metal shutters.

Resident Nico Aurelio said: ‘I just came home from work when I heard a loud crash outside. I checked the CCTV and we all found out what happened.'

The terrified girl was seen trying to catch up with the scooter, but it was too late. She stood, appearing traumatised, looking at her father who was checking on the motorcycle. Fortunately nobody was injured.

Nico added: ‘We were relieved no one was hurt. But what caught my attention was a tuk-tuk driver playing Ice Ice Baby on his speakers while dancing. He was so shocked after the crash happened right in front of him.'
