Stilt-walking artisans bedazzled crowds with a breathtaking folklore performance at the Chinese New Year parade.

Impressive video filmed from Miluo City in Hunan Province, China, shows a remarkable performance by a team of folk artisans who celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year in spectacular style.

The parade featured a highly-skilled stilt-walking performance. Dressed in traditional Chinese costumes, the artisans put on a breathtaking display as they marched through the streets on towering stilts with some even perched on top of parade floats.

Stilt-walking performance is one of China's non-material cultural heritages and is traditionally performed during the Chinese New Year.

A team of folk artisans performed Caigaoqiao (walking on stilts) and paraded along the street to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year in south-central China.

Video filmed in the Miluo City of Hunan Province, China, on Feb 5 shows the folk parade going on and the parade floats passing by.

Sitting on the floats or walking on high stilts, the artisans were dressed in Chinese traditional costumes and they acted the folklore stories that were handed down from ancient times.

Caigaoqiao performance is one of the non-material cultural heritages of China which takes place during the Spring Festival (usually starts from the first day to the fifteenth day in January in the Chinese lunar calendar).
