Landslides in Kampung Sumber Sari and Kampung Juku Batu, Kecamatan Banjit, Kabupaten Way Kanan, continue to cause grief and concern. As of the second day of the search on Saturday, March 11, 2023, no satisfactory results have been found. A joint team from Basarnas, BPBD Way Kanan, Polri, TNI, and the community continue to search for the missing victims.

On Friday, March 10, 2023, landslides occurred in Kampung Sumber Sari and Kampung Juku Batu. In Kampung Sumber Sari, one victim died and another has not been found. Meanwhile, in Kampung Juku Batu, a mother and her toddler are still missing. The search has been temporarily suspended due to heavy rain.

The second day of the search began at 7:00 AM. However, the search team is still hindered by landslides that have buried more than 5 meters of debris. Heavy equipment cannot be used, only manual equipment and water pumps. In addition, access to the location is quite far, about 15 minutes by a modified trail motorbike and another 1 KM on foot.

Head of BPBD Way Kanan, Hendri Syahri, stated that the second day of the search has not yielded results due to the rainy weather. Furthermore, it was reported that another landslide occurred in Dusun Cempedak, and there were suspected casualties. Hendri Syahri added that heavy equipment cannot be used for the search in Kampung Sumber Sari due to the difficult access road. For Kampung Juku Batu, heavy equipment will arrive in the afternoon to conduct evacuation operations tomorrow.
