Footage has emerged from China of a fish tail twitching on the plate while customers eat the dish.

In the video, captured in Guangdong Province on Sunday, the fish tail quivers throughout the meal, and its mouth opens when a costumer presses it with chopsticks.

According to local reports, the expert chef was careful not to damage the fish nerves when making the main body into sashimi, leaving the tail and head twitching on the plate.
