Youngsters were seen playing on a breakwater as rough waves from tropical depression Typhoon Amang slammed into the Philippines.

Video shows the children splashing in the water next to the rocky sea wall structure while roaring tides hit the coast in Virac town, Catanduanes province, on April 12.

The tropical depression named locally as 'Amang' made landfall in the province on April 11 evening.

As of April 13, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said around 275 people in the country's Bicol region have been evacuated from their homes.

State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Amang was moving northwest, warning of possible landslides and flash floods.

It is expected to weaken into a low pressure area by today, the agency added.
