A pretty durian vendor became an instant hit after wearing a pink bikini while manning her family's durian stall in Thailand.

Arunya Deepradit, or Aum, 22, turned heads as she sold the spiky fruit on the roadside in Kamphaeng province on April 28 while wearing a revealing pink top that showed off her figure.

Her mum Pantip Wisetsing, 48, who has been selling fruits for 31 years, said her daughter's presence had boosted sales, and attributed the increased income to Aum's diligence in screening the fruit quality and managing the store's Facebook page.

Footage shows Aum posing with the fresh produce as photographers snapped pictures of her and her outfit.

Speaking to local media, the curvy young lady said: 'I don't dress like that usually, but a photographer friend was coming that day, so I wore the bikini for him.

'I never expected the picture to go viral, but I do enjoy dressing up and being photographed.'

She added that many people praised her, with a few criticising her for the titillating attire.

She said: 'I was embarrassed at first, but I'm happy that we had more sales than usual. To the critics, I want to explain that I was dressed like that in my own personal space. It's not something I do a lot at the durian stall.'
