Three people were injured after a fire broke out at a foam factory in Thailand.

The Thai Foam factory in Ayutthaya province was rocked by twin explosions while dozens of workers were on duty on May 9.

Paper boxes and sheets of foam being stored at a warehouse caught on fire, causing the blaze to grow rapidly.

Footage shows a huge pall of black smoke rising from the building as workers in hazmat suits fled the factory premises.

Pairat Petchyuan, Deputy Governor of Ayutthaya, dispatched more than 10 fire trucks to extinguish the fire after receiving a report at 4 PM.

An employee named Amporn, 44, said: 'There were around 60 staff on duty at the time. We heard two explosions before seeing the fire engulfing the warehouse.'

Two men and one woman were taken to the hospital for burns.

The fire has been brought under control.

Ayutthaya police officers said they will investigate the cause of the fire while environmental agencies will assess the impact of the smoke on air pollution.
