A blaze broke out at an old cinema that was undergoing demolition in Thailand.

The large fire ripped through the three-storey Paris Theatre in Soi Lan Luang 12 in Bangkok, Thailand, early morning today. The building was being torn down to make way for a market parking lot.

Firefighters extinguished the fire in less than 30 minutes after it had damaged around a quarter of the theatre.

Officers believe the fire may have been sparked by two gas lines left behind by demolition workers.

Police Major Narin Fuangsri from the Nang Lerng Police Station said: 'The cause of the fire is still unclear and is being investigated. There were no casualties in this incident.'
