A young lifestyle ‘influencer' amused tourists as she was caught recording a video-selfie of herself meditating.

The unidentified woman in a red dress was alone as she sat at one of the tables inside the dining hall of a resort on Koh Samui island in Thailand.

But after fixing the plates of healthy breakfast next to a vase of lavender flowers, she pulled up her phone and began recording as she did a quick yoga-style mindfulness pose on December 15.

Footage shows the woman with her eyes closed as she held a phone in her right hand while her left hand made the meditation gesture.

Onlooker Josy Le, who believed the woman was a lifestyle influencer, jokingly said: ‘So this is the influencer meditation style.'

After almost a minute of silence, the woman ended her meditation, stopped recording, and put down her phone.

The video was posted on social media where some viewers said it proved how fake and vacuous some of the posts on Instagram and other platforms can be.
