An alien cosplayer joined a festival parade in his spaceship-style electric vehicle.

Footage shows the local Wichan Sriputta, 55, wearing a white mask with large, dark, almond eyes while cruising along the grey ‘flying saucer' in Loei province, Thailand on June 5.

Wichan decorated and concealed his UFO bike under a bucket hat-shaped dome which he spray-painted with grey, white, and black details to create the sci-fi effect.

The creative local businessman said he was happy that a lot of people appreciated the fun idea.

He said: ‘I drove it around for everyone to see. I am glad that it made people smile.'

But Wichan said he had to go back and forth to his shop to charge the electric bike when it ran out of battery.

He said: ‘I can't drive it for a long time. It can only travel for an hour, and I had to return home to charge and return to the parade again.'

The Rocket Festival, or Boun Bang Fai, is a Buddhist celebration practised by the ethnic Lao people in northeastern Thailand bordering Laos. It highlights dance, music, parades and a competitive firing of homemade rockets.
