Dozens of motorcycles skid and fall on Indonesian road after diesel spill, one rider breaks bone.

A diesel spill on a road in the city of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra province, caused dozens of motorcycles to slip and crash on Thursday afternoon (June 29).

CCTV footage showed how the drivers lost control of their vehicles and fell on the asphalt road as they tried to brake and slow down.

At 00:30 seconds it was seen, the motorcyclist wearing a white helmet slipped and fell.

One driver suffered a broken bone and 14 others were injured in the incident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

A fire truck arrived at the scene to clean up the diesel spill, which covered three points of the road with a length of about 50 meters.

The head of the Bukittinggi City Fire Department, Ef Riadi, said the spill made the road very slippery and dangerous for riders.

He urged drivers to be careful and alert when driving on wet or oily roads.
