Bowness Promenade Submerged after flooding from Storm Desmond
Bowness in the Lake District has seen its promenade submerged under a foot of water due to flooding caused by Storm Desmond.
The town sits on the banks of Lake Windermere and flooding has also closed the local boathouse and pier. Ducks and swans are enjoying the water and the interest of tourists.
