The COSCO Asia cargo ship is China's first container giant ship with full ownership and operated by Chinese crew. The total length and width of the "COSCO Asia" ship are 349 meters and 45.6 meters, with a maximum draft of 14.5 meters. It can carry 10062 20 foot standard containers, a total displacement of 140000 tons, and a maximum carrying capacity of over 110000 tons. The "COSCO Asia" ship is the largest and most intelligent container ship in the COSCO container fleet, and has the "environmentally friendly" classification symbol issued by Lloyd's Register of Shipping in the UK. The COSCO Asia cargo ship was put into operation on the route from China to Europe in 2007.
