A train station was swamped by record rains brought by typhoon Haikui in southern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province on September 8.

Shenzhen's railway station in Luohu was particularly hard hit, with the sub-level entrance completely submerged in water.

As a result, passengers were unable to access the station until noon on September 8.

Buses, taxis and long-distance coaches were suspended from heading to the Luohu railway station until noon. Roads leading through Luohu, Yantian, Longgang, and other districts faced significant obstructions, rendering regular services unattainable.

As of 2:00 pm, the rainfall levels in Shenzhen shattered seven historic records that have been held since the city began its meteorological recordings in 1952.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
