A landslide and road collapse due to torrential rainfall hit southern China, triggering severe disruptions across several highways.

The dramatic video was filmed in Chongqing on September 24.

A notice released by Fengjie County's Transportation Bureau on September 23 detailed the immediate aftermath of the deluge, which resulted in the closure of five sections of national, provincial, and county roads within its jurisdiction.

According to the bureau's announcement, emergency suspension measures were promptly initiated for all bus services and rural passenger vehicles throughout the county between September 23 and September 24.

Transportation departments hurriedly embarked on rescue and repair operations to restore connectivity post-incident.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
