STORYLINE:
Celebrations are held worldwide to mark the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
In the Nigerian capital of Abuja, local people and overseas Chinese gathered together on Friday at the China Cultural Center in Abuja to enjoy mooncakes and performances by artists from China's Sichuan Symphony Orchestra.
In Myanmar's Mandalay, a celebration featuring music, dance and poetry recitation attracted about 400 people on Saturday evening.
About 30 Chinese artists performed at the event.
In other cities such as Austria's Graz and Australia's Sydney, people enjoyed the festival with traditional Chinese music.
During the concert in Graz, musicians from China's Nanjing University Traditional Chinese Orchestra performed more than 10 pieces of traditional Chinese folk music such as "Jasmine Flowers" and "Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix."
While in Sydney, more than 30 musicians from northwest China's Gansu Province put on a show showcasing the classical charm of the Silk Road and the contemporary fashion trends of China.
In Graz, people also celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with a cultural event.
During the event, people experienced Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, and tasted Chinese tea.
