Car smashes into restaurant as driver mistakes accelerator for brake in China
A car smashed into a restaurant as the driver mistook the accelerator for the brake in northern China.
The dramatic video was filmed in Chengde City in Hebei Province on September 26.
Upon arriving at the scene, local police discovered a Toyota Land Cruiser lodged inside the dining area, with the restaurant's walls and decor severely damaged from the impact.
According to reports, the driver noticed a parking spot in front of the restaurant. Intending to park the vehicle, the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, sending the car careening straight into the establishment.
Fortunately, no one was injured. The driver was blamed for the incident.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
