A stone railing suddenly collapsed when a woman held it to exercise, leaving her injured in southern China.

The video was filmed in Jieyang City in Guangdong Province on October 28.

As a woman leaned on the stone railing, it suddenly gave way, causing her to lose balance and fall dramatically. The broken stone railing also tumbled down, striking her and shattering into pieces.

Eyewitnesses reported that the woman suffered injuries to her bones and was in immediate need of medical attention.

In response to this shocking incident, officials from the Jieyang Rongcheng District Municipal Engineering Maintenance Center assured the public that such railings should not fall if used properly. They are currently discussing potential solutions to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Furthermore, the center is planning to conduct a thorough inspection of the riverside railings to identify any safety concerns and reinforce them as necessary.
